Oregon secured a commitment from three-star tight end George VanSandt after his official visit on June 8, 2026. The Portland standout chose to stay in-state, turning down offers from Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Tulane. VanSandt, a Central Catholic High School athlete, recently decommitted from Arkansas to pursue the opportunity at Oregon. He becomes an addition to Oregon's 2027 recruiting class alongside wideout Malachi Garlington, who also flipped his commitment from Washington State. The Ducks currently rank ninth nationally in recruiting.
