Purdue football adds seven recruits, including 4-star receiver Trenton Yancey

Purdue football made significant strides in its 2027 recruiting class by adding seven players over the past week, with standout commitments from four-star receiver Trenton Yancey and three-star offensive lineman Patrick O'Brien on June 9. Yancey, hailing from Duncanville, Texas, recorded 54 receptions for 780 yards and nine touchdowns last season. O'Brien, a 6-foot-6 offensive tackle from Cincinnati, has received 14 offers from Power 4 programs. Along with Yancey and O'Brien, Purdue also welcomed defensive back Roman Combs, defensive lineman Wesley Grover, and three others, bringing the total number of commitments in the 2027 class to 11.
