Will Rewers throws shutout as St. Rita beats Nazareth in supersectional

Will Rewers led St. Rita to a 2-0 victory over Nazareth in the Class 3A Crestwood Supersectional on June 8, 2026. Rewers pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10 batters and allowing only two baserunners throughout the game. Julio Gutierrez and Frank Garofalo provided the necessary run support with key hits. This victory marks St. Rita's first return to state since 2019. The Mustangs will face East Peoria in the state semifinals on June 10, 2026.
