Alasdair Evans is a Scottish cricketer, who made his First-Class debut for the Loughborough UCCE team against Leicestershire in 2009. His ODI debut came in the same year against Canada at the age of 20. <br/> <br/> On the back of an impressive CB40 performance in 2012, he earned a Derbyshire contract. Despite picking up 73 wickets in two seasons for the Second XI side, he failed to make a similar impact for the first team. This inconsistency resulted in him being released at the end of 2013. <br/> <br/> Evans was not a part of Scotland's World Cup Qualifying squad initially, but his gritty performance in the ODIs against Ireland helped him make his way back into the team.
