Gustav Nyquist (born 1 September 1989) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nyquist was drafted 121st overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Nyquist made his professional hockey debut with the Red Wings' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, on 25 March 2011, in a game against the Texas Stars. In his second AHL game, on 26 March, also against Texas Stars, he scored his first AHL goal on an assist from Jamie Tardif.
