Hassan Nawaz, born in Southern Punjab, Pakistan, started off plying his trade as an expert in tape ball cricket and gradually moved to the seasoned ball. He made his PSL debut in 2023 for Islamabad United before moving to Quetta for the 2025 edition. Pakistan were humiliated after a league stage exit in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the entire squad was rejigged and players like Hassan were given a chance to prove their mettle. Hassan made his debut against the Kiwis away from home and started his T20I career with a couple of ducks before scoring a blistering ton in his third game. He failed in the other two games. His game is laden with risks but when it comes off, it looks daredevilish and appeases to the onlookers. But as is the case with risk taking, it won't come off that often and Hassan sooner rather than later might as well be needed to add some safety net to his batting.
