Born in Nangarhar, Mohammad Ishaq is a wicketkeeper who bats positively in the middle-order. Ishaq was the designated 'keeper for Afghanistan in two Under-19 World Cups - 2020 and 2022. He made his T20I debut in February 2024 and has only played a handful of T20Is. He's been part of the Afghanistan set-up mainly as the back up wicketkeeper for Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
