Natalie Sciver was born in Japan and she fell in love with cricket in Netherlands. She moved to England to build a career in cricket and on the back of two really good seasons for Surrey in 2012 and 2013, she became a part of the England team in 2014. <br/> <br/> Sciver initially burst on to the scene as a skiddy medium pace bowler but later she developed her batting prowess quite a bit and is considered as a genuine allrounder. Sciver holds the distinguished record of becoming the first bowler to pick up a hat-trick in T20 cricket. She was a part of England's World Cup winning squad in 2017 and was named as one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2018 for her part in the victory. <br/> <br/> In 2019 she was given a full central contract and is one of the key members of the England side going into the 2022 Women's World Cup in New Zealand. <br/> <br/> <b>Personal life:</b> Sciver's mother Julia is a British diplomat and has been the ambassador of the United Kingdom to Japan since March 2021. <br/> <br/> Growing up in the Netherlands, Sciver played football and tennis. Also she has lived in Poland where she played in the Women's League Football. <br/> <br/> She is currently engaged to her team-mate Katherine Brunt since October 2019 with their wedding postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. <br/> <br/>
