1. FC Köln secured Mikey Moore despite rival interest from Borussia Dortmund

1. FC Köln managing director Thomas Kessler confirmed that an unnamed Bundesliga club attempted to intercept the signing of 19-year-old Mikey Moore. Although Kessler did not publicly identify the competitor, speculation links Borussia Dortmund to the pursuit during a period when the club sought injury replacements for Giannis Konstantelias. Dortmund eventually signed Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal FC instead. Kessler stated that Moore remained committed to his agreement with 1. FC Köln throughout the negotiation process. Moore recently made his debut for the club in a 4-1 loss against VfB Stuttgart.
