The 2026 World Cup has reached 100 goals in just 33 matches, making it the fastest tournament to this milestone since 1958. Cody Gakpo scored the landmark goal as the Netherlands defeated Sweden 5-1. Increased scoring is attributed to the new Adidas 'Trionda' ball, which has reportedly posed challenges for goalkeepers. The tournament, co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, averages 3.09 goals per game and is on pace to exceed 300 goals. There has only been one goalless draw thus far.
