49ers activate defensive lineman Alfred Collins from PUP list

Summary

The San Francisco 49ers activated defensive lineman Alfred Collins from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. This activation comes as a boost for the team's defense during training camp, which opened on July 26. Collins, who underwent shoulder surgery, is expected to contribute alongside new addition Osa Odighizuwa and fellow defensive linemen in efforts to improve last season's performance. He had a promising rookie season with 17 tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles. The 49ers continue to work on strengthening their defensive front amid other injury recoveries.
