The San Francisco 49ers signed wide receiver Deebo Samuel to a one-year, $7 million deal on July 30, bringing him back after he spent the 2025 season with the Washington Commanders. In addition, the team added tight end Josiah DeGuara and wide receiver Trenton Irwin to one-year contracts on July 31. DeGuara spent the previous season with the Arizona Cardinals, while Irwin has not played in an NFL game since 2024.
