49ers add Vincent Anthony Jr., Foster Sarell, and Kevin Givens to practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers expanded their practice squad on September 1, 2026, adding three players to the roster. The team signed defensive end Vincent Anthony Jr., offensive lineman Foster Sarell, and defensive tackle Kevin Givens. Anthony Jr., an undrafted free agent from the 2026 class, spent the preseason with the Kansas City Chiefs and offers versatility on special teams. Sarell joins the team with NFL experience dating back to 2021, having played for the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers with time at both guard and tackle positions. Givens returns to the organization, having been associated with the 49ers since 2019. The team currently has one vacant spot remaining on its practice squad. These additions follow the recent signing of Brandon Codrington to the practice unit as the team continues to manage its roster composition.
