49ers confirm Nick Bosa will not start camp on PUP list

Summary

The San Francisco 49ers announced that Nick Bosa will not be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as training camp opens. General manager John Lynch indicated that Bosa is making significant progress and will gradually re-enter practice, starting with individual drills. Bosa altered his offseason routine, spending more time at the team facility instead of returning to Florida to train. This adjustment is expected to help him regain his pre-injury form, which is crucial for improving the 49ers' defense after a disappointing previous season. The team is focused on reconstructing the defensive front around Bosa as they prepare for the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia.
