49ers defensive trio ranks among NFL's top despite injury concerns
Summary

The San Francisco 49ers feature one of the strongest defensive trios in the NFL for 2026, with Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, and Deommodore Lenoir ranked seventh by Sports Illustrated. Bosa and Warner both had injury-plagued seasons in 2025, missing significant time, which raises questions about their return to elite form. Warner’s broken ankle and Bosa's decline in performance since 2022 are highlighted as concerns. New defensive coordinator Raheem Morris takes over as the 49ers aim to maximize the trio's potential moving forward.
