49ers finalize depth chart battles ahead of preseason finale against Raiders

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders, with key roster battles still unresolved. The competition for the backup running back position remains between Jordan James and Kaelon Black, although both faced injury challenges during camp. Jaden Dugger appears to be taking the lead for the third linebacker spot, while the starting left guard position has no clear frontrunner after multiple candidates struggled to distinguish themselves. In the secondary, Marques Sigle takes the early advantage at safety, pending Malik Mustapha's return from injury. Kurtis Rourke has positioned himself as the preferred third quarterback.
