The San Francisco 49ers hosted five players for tryouts on Tuesday following injuries sustained in Week 1. Among the players are tight ends Lawrence Cager, Tanner Conner, and Jack Stoll, along with defensive tackles Daniel Ekuale and Larry Ogunjobi. The 49ers are looking to fill roster spots left vacant by the injury to DT Alfred Collins and TE Jake Tonges. They recently promoted TE Brayden Willis to the active roster and signed DT McKinnley Jackson to the practice squad. One of the five trialists may fill the remaining practice squad spot for San Francisco.
