49ers keep Brandon Aiyuk on reserve list as Commanders consider options

Summary

The San Francisco 49ers confirmed on July 25 that Brandon Aiyuk remains on the reserve/left squad list. General manager John Lynch stated the focus will be on players present for training camp. Aiyuk has expressed a desire to join the Washington Commanders, although sources indicate the team's interest is waning due to Aiyuk's recent injury history and hesitation to exit the reserve list. ESPN's Bill Barnwell suggested the Commanders should explore other wide receiver options given Aiyuk's lack of progress. Former NFL linebacker Channing Crowder advised Aiyuk to minimize his social media presence amid the situation.
