49ers prepare to face Aaron Donald in Australia for Week One

The 49ers are finalizing their preparations to play the Rams in Australia next week. This matchup could mark the return of defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who spent the last two years in retirement. 49ers General Manager John Lynch acknowledged that while Donald remains an exceptional player, he expects his team to be ready for the competition. The Rams have not yet confirmed if Donald will be active for the opening week of the season. Lynch cited his philosophy of focusing on internal performance rather than opponent rosters despite the high-profile return of the three-time defensive player of the year. The 49ers are proceeding with the assumption that they will face Donald in his first professional appearance since his retirement.
