49ers sign Naquan Jones, place C.J. West on injured reserve

The San Francisco 49ers announced roster changes on September 23, 2026. The team signed defensive lineman Naquan Jones and placed fellow defensive lineman C.J. West on injured reserve. Jones, previously with the Vikings’ practice squad, has played in 12 games with 13 tackles in the past year. West, who started both of the 49ers' first two games this season, recorded five tackles before his placement on IR. San Francisco has also signed receiver Brandin Cooks and defensive lineman Viliami Fehoko Jr. to the practice squad while releasing cornerback Jakob Robinson.
