49ers sign Nick Zakelj and Victor Dimukeje ahead of preseason

The San Francisco 49ers have signed offensive lineman Nick Zakelj and defensive lineman Victor Dimukeje to one-year contracts as they prepare for the second week of the preseason. Zakelj returns after being released to make room for Doug Kramer Jr., and he was brought back following a lackluster performance from Kion Smith. Dimukeje, a former sixth-round draft pick, provides additional depth on the defensive line, particularly with uncertainties surrounding Nick Bosa's availability. Following these signings, the team also released running back Khalil Herbert.
