49ers sign Ogbo Okoronkwo ahead of the upcoming season

The 49ers are set to sign veteran edge rusher Ogbo Okoronkwo on Wednesday. Okoronkwo, 31, spent last season with the Eagles but only played one game due to a torn triceps that landed him on injured reserve. Having previously worked under 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris while with the Rams, Okoronkwo brings experience as a fifth-round draft pick from 2018. He has appeared in 81 games, making 13 starts and recording 17.0 sacks, 31 tackles for loss, and 38 quarterback hits throughout his career.
