49ers trade for Texans offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson

The San Francisco 49ers acquired offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson from the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round draft pick. The trade remains pending official announcement by both teams following the finalization of 53-man rosters. San Francisco sought interior line reinforcements after injuries impacted depth at center and left guard. Brett Toth, Nick Zakelj, and Jake Nugent were among the players removed from the active rotation due to injury or roster cuts. Patterson brings experience across the interior, having started 21 games for Houston since 2023. He is expected to provide support at center while competing for a role at left guard.
