"AAA Noche de Los Grandes takes place on Saturday night (May 30, 2026) from Monterrey, Mexico. The feature attraction ties into the name of the show. El Grande Americano battles Original Grande Americano in mask versus mask. The show also features three title matches and more. Let’s break down the card with previews and predictions. AAA NOCHE DE LOS GRANDES PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS Mask vs. Mask: El Grande Americano vs. Original Grande Americano This feud spans across promotions in WWE and AAA. Forget the mid-card mindset of this story on WWE television. In AAA, this story is completely different animal. The mask versus mask bout has match of the year potential. Due to injury, Original Grande Americano (Chad Gable) left an opening under the mask filled by El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser). This new EGA became a superstar in Mexico by embracing the culture and speaking perfect Spanish. When OGA returned, he wanted his identity back. The drama escalated from there with EGA acting the hero and OGA becoming more villainous each week. For example, OGA attacked the beloved Pimpinela Escarlata as a message. OGA also demanded that interviewer Andrea Bazarte be fired as a contract stipulation for this match. That was a wink wink moment for those that know EGA is dating Andrea in real life. This feud is deeply personal between the characters, and the live crowd reacts accordingly to add an extra layer of emotion for those of us watching at home. To catch up on the El Grande Americano feud, The_B wrote about the 45-minute WWE playlist in The Feed, and here is the shorter comic book style recap video. M. G0MEZ: Original Grande Americano was always destined to lose his mask in a star-making performance against a rising luchador. But no one expected that luchador to be a second El Grande Americano, who has become a national hero in less than a year. It’s an incredible story that would be foolish to end now, which is why it won’t. Pick: El Grande Americano Sean Rueter: Figuring we’d be unanimous on this one, I joked to Manolo that I would gin up a pick for El Original. But I can’t. To use my favorite Luke Thomas catchphrase, it would be promotional malpractice not to put EGA over in this spot. And even from a reporter/podcaster/blogger perspective, anyone who tells you the Americano who doesn’t speak Spanish or have a Mexican girlfriend will win this is a troll or… well, they’re just not someone who should be taken seriously. Pick: El Grande Americano Manolo H. Pizzazz: AAA is on the way to creating a generational superstar. Pick: El Grande Americano AAA Latin American Championship: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Hijo del Vikingo Hijo del Vikingo is a two-time Mega champion in AAA. In the quest to reach that peak again, Vikingo turned heel along the way aligning with power hungry Dorian Roldan and the giant Omos. He came up short in rematches for the Mega title and challenging Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Vikingo now has eyes on Latin American gold. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is a worthy champion working to reach the level his father’s legacy. A wild card to keep an eye on is Mini Vikingo. He thwarted Vikingo’s efforts recently in title matches as part of their ongoing beef. M. G0MEZ: Vikingo hasn’t won a match in THREE MONTHS. He’s long overdue for a victory. Putting a belt on him will help hold up his credibility. Pick: Hijo del Vikingo Sean Rueter: Vikingo’s been on a losing streak since earning a shot at El Sucio de los Sucios Mega title early in the year. He seems like too big a deal to take another one in this high profile a spot (unless he’s injured, which there was concern about… again). Much as I love his dad’s work, Dr. Wagner’s grandson has seemed like an afterthought for a while (booking hasn’t helped, but he hasn’t done much memorable with the time he’s gotten). Might as well do the change. Pick: Hijo del Vikingo Manolo H. Pizzazz: Vikingo is due a title win. Too many failures sinks his stock. Pick: Hijo del Vikingo AAA World Tag Team Championship: Psycho Clown & Pagano (c) vs. War Raiders Last time Psycho Clown and Pagano fought the War Raiders to defend the tag titles, the match was thrown out due to the referee unable to restore order from the chaos. Since then, turmoil has mounted in the friendship between Psycho and Pagano. There is a mystery attacker running amok backstage and sending clowns to the hospital in an ambulance. Psycho suspected Pagano as the culprit, and that accusation cut deep to Pagano’s soul. We still don’t know who is the mystery attacker, and Pagano may very well be the mastermind behind it. However, Psycho and Pagano are still tag team champions, and business needs to be handled against the War Raiders. M. G0MEZ: The War Raiders have conquered every promotion they’ve set foot in. Long-term, a homegrown team from AAA defeating a duo with the Raiders’ resume should help raise that team’s profile. As for the mystery attacker, we’ll know definitively who it is by night’s end. Pick: The War Raiders Sean Rueter: Erik and Ivar winning makes sense… they’re obviously not busy stateside, and have are well built here (unlike in WWE, at least at the current moment). But AAA is in need of more teams to fill out the division, so Psycho and Pagano should probably stick together rather than split up. And if they do that… Pick: Psycho Clown & Pagano Manolo H. Pizzazz: If there is one thing Psycho Clown and Pagano love to do, it is fight. I think they take their aggressions out on the War Raiders, and perhaps they even bond again among the violence. When the champs do drop the titles, it will likely be due to miscommunication or an outright heel turn. In that case, I don’t see the War Raiders as the ones to carry the division moving forward. Pick: Psycho Clown & Pagano AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Laredo Kid (c) vs. Rey Fenix Laredo Kid has held the cruiserweight title for 534 days and counting, since winning the belt from Matt Riddle. Recently, Laredo is cracking under pressure with paranoia. After a non-title loss to Fenix, he accused the Lucha Bro of being jealous about the gold. Signals pointed to Laredo turning heel, and he went rudo in the title defense against Fenix by faking a concussion then striking with a low blow to win. Rey Mysterio is the new general manager of AAA, and he booked the rubber match. Rey wants Laredo to defend the championship with honor. M. G0MEZ: Laredo Kid became a man last week, doing what he had to do to beat Rey Fenix. As he told new GM Rey Mysterio, “Ganar es ganar.” While that attitude will serve him well in the future, Fenix needs something — ANYTHING — to keep pace with his brother Penta if he hopes to face him for WWE gold someday. Pick: Rey Fenix Sean Rueter: M and M would know better than me, so probably listen to them. This is probably the Fenix fan in me wanting to see more animo, and strapping Rey here would mean he’d remain a regular on Undertaker’s lucha hour. Which is good because I kinda doubt he’s ever gonna be a regular on WWE television, except whenever his brother needs a tag partner. Pick: Rey Fenix Manolo H. Pizzazz: Laredo Kid just turned heel. Losing the title now would undercut him. Laredo will win by any means necessary. After all, he said that a win is a win. Pick: Laredo Kid Las Toxicas (Flammer, La Hiedra, & Maravilla) vs. La Catalina, Lola Vice, & Bayley This match will be taped to air next week. Bayley is the draw to bring over new fans from WWE, however, La Catalina is the focal point for this chapter in the story of Flammer’s record-breaking reign with the Reina de Reinas Championship. Flammer claimed that there is nobody left to challenge her. As heels are wont to do, she conveniently left out the fact that Las Toxicas often interfere to help her retain, such as was the case against Bayley. During Flammer’s celebration, Catalina (a free agent from CMLL) made her debut to crash the party. Lola Vice fits in as feuding with La Hiedra over the mixed tag titles. M. G0MEZ: Despite her accomplishments in CMLL, La Catalina needs wins to build toward her eventual showdown with Flammer. The Reina de Reinas can afford to have one of Las Tóxicas take the fall because, as Dionne Warwick said, “That’s what friends are for.” Pick: Bayley, La Catalina, and Lola Vice Sean Rueter: We’re getting Flammer vs. Catalina at Triplemania, and having her get a win here with the visiting tecnicos gets us closer to it, if not all the way there. Pick: Bayley, La Catalina, and Lola Vice Manolo H. Pizzazz: I can see this match playing out in two ways. One, Catalina wins the match to get one step closer to Flammer and the women’s title. Two, Las Toxicas cheat to win in a way that puts more babyface heat on Catalina to get the gold. Pick: Las Toxicas How to Watch AAA Noche de Los Grandes streams live for free on YouTube at 10 pm ET on Saturday night.
