Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra criticized the current batting lineup for sidelining Sanju Samson during the ongoing T20I series against England. After a successful T20 World Cup, where Samson was named Player of the Tournament, he was dropped for the second T20I. Chopra noted that with a left-dominant top order, there is little room for Rajat Patidar, who was not selected for the series, suggesting he will get a chance when the lineup changes. The Indian team currently faces questions about their selections, particularly with established players like Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and Tilak Varma contributing to a strong batting order.

"Former India batter Aakash Chopra believes Rajat Patidar's T20I return faces hurdles due to India's current batting lineup. Despite Patidar's strong domestic T20 record, Chopra argues there's little room for him, especially with a left-handed top order and established middle-order players. He suggests Patidar's opportunity will arise when a change in the existing combination becomes necessary.
