Aaliyah Turpin of Smyrna and Anna Bockius of Padua received the Bill Thomson Award for their outstanding performances in Delaware track and field. Both athletes excelled in their final seasons, setting multiple state records. Turpin reset the girls 100 hurdles record with a time of 13.57, while Bockius claimed her own 800 record at 2:05.84. The awards were presented at the N5CTA All-State banquet on June 15, recognizing their achievements throughout their high school careers. Turpin plans to compete at Texas Tech, and Bockius will join Notre Dame.
