Aaron Donald approaches decision on NFL return this week

Aaron Donald is continuing to deliberate his potential return to the NFL after two years of retirement. The decision is expected to come by the end of this week, having shifted from an earlier timeline. The Los Angeles Rams are prepared to follow a similar strategy to ramp him up as in previous seasons after contract holdouts, allowing for several weeks of preparation ahead of their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Donald seeks assurance that he can perform at his previous level, and until he practices against other players, his ability to gauge his readiness remains uncertain. His workouts leading to this decision will play a critical role in evaluating his future.
