Aaron Donald returned to the Los Angeles Rams after a brief retirement that began in March 2024. Before finalizing his comeback, Donald engaged in a court dispute with his former partner, Jaelynn Blakey, regarding the safety of their two children. The legal filing in late July raised concerns over a French bulldog that Donald alleged had bitten both children. Blakey denied the allegations and characterized the dog as an emotional support animal. An order filed August 3 resolved the matter, with Blakey agreeing to permanently remove the dog from her home. Following the resolution, Donald signed a one-year contract worth $20 million with the Rams. He has since rejoined the team for practice, though his availability for the upcoming season opener against the San Francisco 49ers remains uncertain.
