Aaron Donald returns from retirement to play for the Los Angeles Rams

Aaron Donald is ending his retirement to join the Los Angeles Rams for the 2026 NFL season. The defensive lineman, who retired following the 2023 campaign, has spent the summer training in preparation for his return to the field. He is slated to join a defensive unit that includes Myles Garrett, as he pursues a second Super Bowl championship with the organization that selected him in 2014. The move marks the start of Donald’s 11th year in the league. While he has been away from competitive play for more than two years, he remains committed to the team’s upcoming schedule. His return brings a veteran presence to the Rams' front seven as they begin their season.
