Aaron Donald confirmed his return to the Los Angeles Rams on August 30, 2026, by submitting a brief letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year signed a one-year, $20 million contract to rejoin the roster. His message echoed the language used by Michael Jordan in 1995 when announcing his return to the Chicago Bulls. Donald is slated to play alongside Myles Garrett for the remainder of the season. His return adds significant expectations to a Rams squad already considered a major favorite to reach the Super Bowl. The franchise expects Donald to anchor the defense as the team pursues a championship.
