Aaron Greene equalizes late for Shamrock Rovers against Derry City

Shamrock Rovers drew 1-1 with Derry City at Tallaght Stadium on June 22. Derry took the lead in the 25th minute when Liam Boyce headed in a cross from James McClean. After failing to extend their advantage, Derry conceded an equalizer in the 83rd minute as Aaron Greene scored, preventing Derry from taking a lead in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Derry City has now recorded their 11th draw in 23 league matches, while Rovers maintain a six-point lead over St Patrick's Athletic at the top of the table, albeit with St Patrick's having two games in hand. Derry will face Drogheda United next at their newly updated Brandywell ground.
