Aaron Malouda has completed a transfer to FC Basel for approximately €3 million. The 22-year-old winger had been linked with Celtic but ultimately chose the Swiss club. Malouda joins Basel following the departure of Benie Traore to New York City FC. Basel confirmed the signing as part of their squad restructuring ahead of the new season. Malouda's previous club was Sabah FK in Azerbaijan, where he played last season.
