Aaron McKenna and Denzel Bentley agree to middleweight title unification fight

IBF middleweight champion Aaron McKenna and WBO title holder Denzel Bentley have agreed to face each other in a world title unification bout scheduled for later in 2026. McKenna earned his IBF belt last month with a points victory over Etinosa Oliha in Dublin, maintaining his perfect professional record. Bentley was elevated to the WBO championship in July following the decision of Janibek Alimkhanuly to relinquish the belt. Having previously defeated Endry Saavedra to secure the interim title in April, Bentley now enters the matchup as a unified title target for the Irish fighter. McKenna has expressed a long-term goal of moving up in weight classes after clearing out the middleweight division. The two boxers intend to meet in the ring before the end of the year.
