Abass Baraou earned a majority decision victory over Giovani Santillan in the junior middleweight main event at a ProBox TV card in Oceanside, California, on Friday. Judges scored the bout 97-93, 96-94, and 95-95, securing the WBO Intercontinental title for Baraou. The German fighter dictated the pace throughout, landing 148 total punches to Santillan's 92. Despite a late push from Santillan, who struggled with a slow start, he was unable to overcome the deficit. On the same card, Luis Alberto “Venado” Lopez recorded a third-round TKO victory over Daniel Lugo in his super featherweight debut. Lopez controlled the match with consistent body work before referee Ray Corona stopped the contest at 1:18 of the third round.
