Abby Pavia joins ADEMEBA-USA team for international basketball tournament in Mexico

BasketballAlbuquerque High sophomore Abby Pavia has been selected to represent the 16U ADEMEBA-USA Women’s National Select Team. The squad will travel to Monterrey, Mexico, to compete in the ADEMEBA National Championship scheduled for September 23-27. This organization focuses on highlighting Mexican-American basketball talent through various national and international showcases. Pavia, a 5-foot-6 guard, averaged 20.6 points and 7.9 rebounds during her freshman season and holds multiple Division I recruiting offers. In other local prep news, Albuquerque Academy guard Zac Borrego confirmed his commitment to continue his playing career at Northern Arizona. Borrego selected the school over other Division I offers from the University of Illinois-Chicago and Southern Utah.
