Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal contract talks with Rennes stall

Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, age 20, may not renew his contract with Stade Rennais, which runs until 2028. Recent reports indicate that negotiations are at an impasse, with both parties unable to reach an agreement. Ait Boudlal started the season as a center-back but has struggled for form amid interest from Fulham, who made two transfer bids, both rejected by Rennes. Following poor performances, he has been supplanted in the lineup by Anthony Rouault. It's unclear if Ait Boudlal's role as second-choice will impact contract discussions as no deal is currently in place.
