Abishek Porel receives bail after more than a month in custody

Cricketer Abishek Porel has been granted bail by a Chinsurah court after 36 days in jail due to an alleged rape and intimidation case. Porel, who plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL, was arrested on August 11 following a complaint from a medical student in Karnataka. She accused Porel of ending their three-and-a-half-year relationship and claimed he later denied its existence. The court had previously denied Porel bail, with additional allegations including intimidation and the potential dissemination of compromising material. Porel has consistently refuted these allegations throughout the legal proceedings.
