AC Milan monitors Bruno Fernandes amid Manchester United tensions

Summary

AC Milan is considering a move for Bruno Fernandes following his troubled relationship with Manchester United. The Portugal midfielder has criticized the club's ambition and subsequently lost his starting spot under manager Michael Carrick. After a heavy 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como, Fernandes' comments sparked friction within the team, leading to his benching in a recent Premier League match against Bournemouth. Milan's manager, Ruben Amorim, is interested in bringing Fernandes back to Serie A, but financial obstacles remain due to his substantial salary and contract details. Both the player and Milan may need to make significant sacrifices to facilitate a transfer in January.
