Las Vegas Aces are not fielding A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young in their game against the New York Liberty on August 9, 2026. The decision follows a grueling schedule, with Las Vegas facing the Minnesota Lynx just hours earlier, resulting in a 98-87 loss. Aces coach Becky Hammon emphasized player health, citing the challenges of a back-to-back travel schedule that included a nearly 1,200-mile trip. The Aces, currently at 22-10, are competing for playoff positioning in a tightly contested league. The matchup is also crucial for the Liberty, who hold the eighth seed and are vying for a better playoff spot.
