Adam Mohammed details transfer decision from Washington to California
Summary

Adam Mohammed, former running back for the Washington Huskies, transferred to the California Golden Bears after two seasons in Seattle. Following the bowl victory over Boise State in December 2025, he decided to enter the transfer portal. Mohammed cited a strong connection with California’s coach Tosh Lupoi and the program's history with renowned running backs as key reasons for his move. He formally announced his decision to transfer on January 6, 2026. Despite being a two-year starter, Mohammed's role diminished towards the end of his tenure at Washington, prompting the move to seek a new opportunity with the Golden Bears.
