Adam Treloar retires from the Western Bulldogs after 16 AFL seasons

Western Bulldogs midfielder Adam Treloar has announced his retirement from professional Australian Football. The decision follows the club's notification that he would not be offered a contract for 2027. Treloar concludes his 16-season career with 263 senior appearances and 158 goals across stints with Greater Western Sydney, Collingwood, and the Western Bulldogs. His final years were hampered by recurring soft-tissue injuries, limiting him to nine appearances over the last two seasons. This departure follows the retirement announcement of teammate Tom Liberatore, who played 268 games for the club. The Western Bulldogs also confirmed that Oskar Baker, Harvey Gallagher, Lachlan Smith, and Zac Walker will not receive contracts for the 2027 season.
