Adam Valentini selected 96th overall by Utah Mammoth in NHL Draft

Adam Valentini, a Michigan forward, was chosen 96th overall by the Utah Mammoth during the 2026 NHL Draft held in Buffalo, New York. At 5-foot-10, he becomes the second Wolverine drafted this year, following J.P. Hurlbert, who was picked 23rd overall by the Red Wings. Valentini had a productive season at Michigan, recording 27 points in 40 games and showcasing his potential with five points in five games on Canada’s Hlinka-Gretzky team. His selection adds to the rivalry narrative with Michigan State's Ethan Belchetz, who was picked 17th overall by Utah in the draft. Valentini had previously played for the USHL's Chicago Steel, where he scored 39 points in 58 games two years ago.
