Adelaide Crow Sarah Allan nears milestone without an AFLW goal

Adelaide defender Sarah Allan approaches her 100th AFLW game this week while still seeking her first career goal. Although she was originally drafted as a forward during her debut season, a position change to defence in 2018 established her as a key player for the club. Allan has since earned three All-Australian selections and secured three premierships while anchoring the backline. After serving as co-captain alongside Ebony Marinoff for two seasons, Allan stepped out of the official leadership group this year to dedicate more time to mentoring younger teammates. The 99-game veteran remains the most experienced player in the league yet to register a goal, a statistical outlier she hopes to address during her upcoming milestone appearance.
