Adirondack Thunder and Harding Mazzotti Arena president Jeff Mead departs organization

Jeff Mead is no longer employed as president and general manager of the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder or the Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls. The Adirondack Civic Center Coalition announced the leadership change in a statement released on Friday during the Labor Day weekend. Mead had served in his role with the arena since 2015 and with the Thunder since 2017, earning ECHL Executive of the Year honors for the 2023-24 season. Tadd Sipowicz, who previously served as the chief revenue officer for the Thunder, has been appointed to serve as the interim president of the team and interim general manager of the arena. No reason was provided by the coalition for Mead's departure, and representatives for the organization declined to offer additional comment. The front office transition occurs shortly before the start of a new hockey season.
