AFC Wimbledon sign goalkeeper Joe Bursik on loan from Portsmouth

AFC Wimbledon completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Bursik on loan from Championship club Portsmouth for the remainder of the season. The 26-year-old returns to the club where he originally developed as an academy player before moving to Stoke City at age 16. Bursik joined Portsmouth in September 2025 and made 10 league appearances during his tenure there, including a start in an FA Cup match against Arsenal. His career path has included loan spells at Telford, Accrington, Doncaster, and Peterborough, as well as time at Stoke City where he recorded seven clean sheets in 16 Championship appearances.
