Afghanistan and Zimbabwe meet for first Test in Sharjah

Afghanistan faces Zimbabwe in the first Test of a two-match series at Sharjah on November 5. Both teams are not currently in the World Test Championship, with Zimbabwe playing only one Test this year and Afghanistan competing in their fourth. Afghanistan misses key players such as Rashid Khan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, while Zimbabwe is likely to debut Antum Naqvi, with Brian Bennett captaining in the absence of Richard Ngarava. The Sharjah pitch is expected to offer slow, low-bouncing conditions, favoring spinning bowling, with temperatures above 36 degrees making scoring difficult.
