AFL experts prepare updated player rankings for September release

AFL.com.au plans to release the latest edition of The 25, a monthly ranking of the competition's top players, this Wednesday morning. The panel-selected list evaluates athletes based on recent form and historical performance over previous seasons. Current No. 1 ranked player Nick Daicos faces potential movement in the standings following his recent wildcard final appearance against Marcus Bontempelli. Other players expected to challenge for higher positions include Errol Gulden and Izak Rankine, the latter of whom was absent from the previous monthly update. The updated rankings will be available on the AFL website and official mobile application starting at 6am AEST on Wednesday.
