AFL.com.au has released its September edition of 'The 25,' a monthly ranking of the top players in the AFLW competition. Experts determined the list by evaluating which athletes they would prioritize for a hypothetical, fully fit team. Five new players entered the rankings this month, while one individual climbed 11 positions. Melbourne currently leads all clubs with four representatives, followed by North Melbourne and Sydney with three players each. The list acknowledges various performances through the first four rounds of the 2026 season, including individual contributions from players such as Maeve Chaplin, Charlie Rowbottom, Mimi Hill, Laura Gardiner, Tyanna Smith, and Aishling Moloney. The rankings are updated monthly to track top form throughout the year.
