Ahlivia East leads Oswego past Barrington in supersectional matchup

Ahlivia East propelled Oswego to a 7-5 victory over previously unbeaten Barrington in the Class 4A NIU Supersectional on June 1. East recorded two crucial two-run doubles that helped the Panthers secure a spot in the state semifinals for the third consecutive year. Barrington attempted an intentional walk of Oswego's star hitter, Jaelynn Anthony, only to have East capitalize on the opportunity. The Panthers, who had a challenging start to the season at 0-4, will face Mundelein in the semifinals at 4:45 p.m. Friday in Peoria, Illinois.
