Aidan Schubert requests trade to Gold Coast amid Hawks-Suns talks

Hawthorn's Aidan Schubert will request a trade to the Gold Coast Suns. The 19-year-old forward/ruck visited the Suns facility and is expected to sign a five-year contract. His trade request comes as the Hawks are finalizing Ben King's move to their team. Schubert, who has only one AFL game under his belt, was drafted at pick No. 23 last year. The Suns have shown interest in Schubert since July, aiming to secure a trade that contrasts Hawthorn's free agency plans for King.
